Blog To Blog - Featured Blog Interview #5

Each week I do a feature called Blog to Blog.  Blog to Blog is where I will choose a blog and ask the blog owner questions.  I always choose blogs that I really enjoy.

This week I've chosen Vicky from

First of all I would like to welcome Vicky and thank her for taking part in this feature.

What is your blog mainly about?
Books, reviews, author guest posts and book tours, giveaways and weekly events - everything about books basically. :-) My blog focuses on mystery / chick-lit and YA mainly but I like to feature other genres, such as paranormal or horror from time to time.

How did you come up with your blog name?
You wouldn't believe how much time it took me to come up with a blog name! I wanted to come up with something original and something that means a lot to me and reflects my personality. I picked this name because if you give me a good book, a hot cuppa and some biscuits, I'm the happiest girl in the world - it's my idea of a purr-fect night in. :-)

What inspired you to start blogging?
I saw someone's blog and I thought what a great idea it was. I was thinking about it for a while and then I decided to start one myself - it's a great way to keep track of the books I read and to make friends who are just as crazy about books as I am.

What piece of advice would you give to new bloggers?
It's funny because I'm quite new myself! I only started blogging 3 weeks ago, but the best advice I can give is to be patient! Do not start blogging in order to gain followers - they'll come in time. Make your blog unique and put your stamp on it so that you stand out. Follow other people's blogs and comment on their posts - and always return the favour!

What book would you recommend?
Hm, it's a tough one, there are so many great books out there! But And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie is my all-time favourite book, it's a true masterpiece! I also love The ShellSeekers by Rosamunde Pilcher and my latest read, The Brightest Star In The Sky by Marian Keyes was fantastic.

Name three of your favorite authors.
 1. Agatha Christie
 2. Marian Keyes (surprise, surprise :D)
 3. Jane Austen

What is your favorite book genre?
Mystery (detective fiction) is my favourite genre, but I read everything as long as the story interests me. I love the classics, chick-lit and YA fiction as well.

Which three blogs would you recommend.
There are so many fab blogs out there, it's hard to pick three! I love Pen to Paper, Books for Company and KindleFever -and yours, of course! Thanks to all of you for your help and support from the very beginning!

Have you got anything exciting  coming up on your blog?
Oh dear, I have lots of exciting stuff in store for you guys, I can barely keep them in mind! I have an international YA ebook giveaway going on at the moment, I'm taking up in two read-a-thons next weekend and three blog tours! I'm hosting a Halloween themed week from 24 to 31 October and I have some very special guests to guest post on my blog! :-)

Once again thank you Vicky for taking the time to answer my questions :D  Some really interesting answers there!!

This was a great interview, I really enjoyed reading it and getting to know you better Vicky!

By the way, I've always wanted to read an Agatha Christie book but have never got around to it... I may have to add And Then There Were None to my Wednesday Wishlist!

And Chocolate Chunky Munkie, this is such a great feature!

Great interview! Agatha Christie is indeed a master--I read ton of her books when I was a teen. I wonder how much more I'd appreciate her as an adult?!
