This weeks Top Ten list is:
Top Ten Athors I'd Love To Have At My Thanksgiving Feast.
Here in the UK we don't have Thanksgiving. But if I was ever to have a dinner party, these top ten authors would be on my list :D
#1
Jasper Fforde - I've had the great pleasure of meeting Jasper at a book signing. He was a really interesting and friendly person. His books are awesome and I would have loads of questions for him at the dinner table.
#2
Charlaine Harris - This is one of my favourite authors and I love her books. Such an imagination, I bet her dinner table talk would be interesting and fun.
#3
Charles Dickens - I'm always fascinated by Dickensian times, his stories have always drawn me in. My favourite is Great Expectations, one book that has stayed with me for years and years. I bet the Christmas feasts in his era were a sight to see.
#4
Carrie Ryan- I think I would be a bit gushy here, as I love her Forest of Hands & Teeth series. I would have so many questions for her! The Forest of Hands & Teeth was the first ever zombie novel I ever read, I really thought I would never ever read a book with zombies in, and certainly not expecting to find my all time favourite read!!!
#5
J K Rowling - In interviews JK Rowing comes across as a very nice lady. Also to be able to discuss the world of Harry Potter with the mastermind who created it. Well that would be mind blowing!!
#6
Bill Bryson - This gentleman would be good for the dinner table. He would be able to regale you with tales of his travel and mix that in with his wicked sense of humour. Well I think he's be an awesome dinner guest.
#7
Michael Palin - He would be a wonderful dinner guest. He has so many topic to cover. I would be so interested in his travel writing and his Monty Python times. He always comes across and a nice and genuine man.
#8
Margaret Atwood - I would have to quiz this lady about her book The Year of the Flood. A very weird and wonderful book. She always comes across as a very intelligent and creative person.
#9
Gail Carriger - I love her steampunk Parasol Protectorate series. I would love to quiz her over her knowledge of Victorian times. With Gail Carriger and Charles Dickens at my dinner table it would be good to quiz them of past life and times in these eras.
#10
Terry Pratchett - I love his Discworld books, I read loads of his books in my teens. I would love to quiz him over his books and the characters. A huge vivid imagination that would keep talk flowing at the dinner table.
Who would you have at your dinner table??

still green with jealousy about you meeting Jasper Fforde. We've got him in common, as well as JK Rowling and Terry Pratchett :)
