Friday Recommends is a weekly meme hosted by Dani at Pen To Paper. This is where we list a book we would highly recommend.
I'm quite excited about this new feature as one of the things I love is being able to share the news about a great book. We've all been there! After reading a fab book you want to shout out to the world how great it is.

Goodreads Synopsis:
As a glassmaker and a magician-in-training, Opal Cowen understands trial by fire. Now it's time to test her mettle. Someone has sabotaged the Stormdancer clan's glass orbs, killing their most powerful magicians. The Stormdancers—particularly the mysterious and mercurial Kade—require Opal's unique talents to prevent it happening again. But when the mission goes awry, Opal must tap in to a new kind of magic as stunningly potent as it is frightening. And the further she delves into the intrigue behind the glass and magic, the more distorted things appear. With lives hanging in the balance—including her own—Opal must control powers she hadn't known she possessed…powers that might lead to disaster beyond anything she's ever known.
This is book 1 in the Glass series and there are two other books in this series Sea Glass and Spy Glass. I've now read all the books and I have to say I loved them. A good mixture of magic, love and drama. I think the main character Opal Cowan is amazing. Her journey is not easy and she does make some mistakes but she comes across as a very honest and caring person. I would highly recommend you read this series, but I have been warned that it is probably better if you read the Study series first, which I never did, they are next on my list!!
