Goodreads Synopsis
Godspeed was fueled by lies. Now it is ruled by chaos.
It's been three months since Amy was unplugged. The life she always knew is over. And everywhere she looks, she sees the walls of the spaceship Godspeed. But there may just be hope: Elder has assumed leadership of the ship. He's finally free to enact his vision - no more Phydus, no more lies.

But when Elder discovers shocking news about the ship, he and Amy race to discover the truth behind life on Godspeed. They must work together to unlock a puzzle that was set in motion hundreds of years earlier, unable to fight the romance that's growing between them and the chaos that threatens to tear them apart.

In book two of the Across the Universe trilogy, New York Times bestselling author Beth Revis mesmerizes us again with a brilliantly crafted mystery filled with action, suspense, romance, and deep philosophical questions. And this time it all builds to one mind-bending conclusion: They have to get off this ship.

 My Review:
“And here we are, in the middle, surrounded by a sea of stars.
A million suns.
Any of them could hold a planet. Any of them could hold a home.
But all of them are out of reach.”

This book is amazing. A Millions Suns, did not disappoint me in the slightest. I found myself so absorbed in this book, it was like an obsession, I just had to finish it. But now I’ve finished it, I feel quite sad, it's a whole year for the release of book three.

This one will definitely feature as one of my top five books of the year. Sheer awesomeness.
The story kicks off pretty much from where book one, Across The Universe, left off. It’s action packed and left me feeling quite exhilarated. It flowed all the way through. Beth Revis has a really nice writing style, one I’m very comfortable with.

This is definitely a series that you need to read in order, do not attempt to read a Million Suns before you have read Across The Universe, it will totally baffle you.

It was good to see more character development, there was certainly more depth to Amy and Elder. This book certainly gives you more to think about, all the characters have flaws, this is good as no one is perfect. There were some twists in the plot and I was certainly left guessing in places.

I highly recommend this book and suggest you rush out and get a copy now. Go on! What are you waiting for :D. It’s so frexing good!!

I’m no eagerly awaiting book three, which I believe is being published in January 2013. I will certainly be getting a copy as soon as it’s released. I really want to see what happens next!!

Story 5/5 – Ticked every box for me, I cannot fault this book.
Cover 5/5 – I love the colour scheme and it really does capture what the story is about.

I have been thinking about reading book #1 in the series for a while but I haven't had much time to read in the past few weeks. I've heard great things about both books so I might have to pick it up at some point :) I'm glad you enjoyed it Jenny! xxx

I love it when we can identify with characters despite their flaws! It's brilliant on the author's part.

I'm not a sci fi fan, but Beth Revis is awesome!

I am reading a few fantasy novels, if they are sent to me for review, but I have not yet been tempted to add any to my wishlist. Interesting concept but this does not appeal to me, thanks for the review though as I am always prepared to be won over.

I have not started the first one yet, but this series sounds so good. Maybe if I wait long enough, I can read all three in a row. :D

Good to know the sequel holds up so well to the original. This is one of those series I'm definitely gonna need to read in the near future.

Wow! You're really enthusiastic about this book. Will have to pick it up and add it to my reading list then, yes? But, not before I pick up the FIRST one as per your suggestions. I love it when I read a book that totally engages me! Glad you enjoyed it.

Thanks for your reviews.

I'm currently about to read this one! I'm really excited to find out what happens in this installment. But like you I worry about how the long wait is going to be before the next one comes out!! I have it out of the library but I know for sure I'll be buying it....and you're right, the cover is pretty awesome.

I completely agree. A Million Suns blew me away. I thought it was leagues better than Across the Universe and the character development was so much better. I really can't wait for the next book.

I don't know Jen..I've read the first one and have rather mixed feelings about it. I guess this is just not for me.

I chose to read this review because I couldn't get into Across the Universe and was hoping there would be something about its sequel that would get me through.

Thanks for the review. I'm now considering finishing Across the Universe so I can read A Million Suns.

I read this book right after I read the first one from the series. I have to say I loved the first book a tiny tiny bit more, but A Million Suns was amazing as well! I fell in love with the characters and wasn't bored for a second while reading it.

Wow. I'm glad you liked this book. No, that seems to be an understatement. You seem to LOVE this book! :) I'm really glad Beth Revis managed to delude the second book curse. I absolutely loved Across the Universe and everyone seems to love the second book even more than the first book. So I''m guessing it must be one masterpiece! Cant wait to get my hands on a copy but unfortunately my library has a really long queue for this particular book :(
