My Review:

I can’t say that I was overly keen on this book. It had some good places, but equally I did feel my mind wandering. I think mostly it’s because I didn’t really gel with the main character, this is really really important to me.

The first chapter was fine, but I found I didn’t really feel that the story flowed enough after that. The plot and the synopsis sounded great, but the actually delivery was not up to my expectations. I did at times have to put down this book and then pick it up again at a later date. I did feel about giving up on it about halfway but persevered. I’m pleased I did as I don’t really like giving up on books; they have to be really dire for me to do that. It did pick up pace a little toward the ending, even that left me with a luke warm feeling. Things did get a little predictable in places too, not many surprises for me or plot twists.

As I said earlier I wasn’t keen on the main character Dakota, but there were the odd few characters in the story that I did like; such as Cinnamon the Were-Tiger.

 I don’t honestly think I will be carrying on with the series. Shame really as it was such a promising book.
