Well a week and a half ago I was very fortunate to be asked by Dani @ Pen to Paper if I would like to go on a little adventure.
So off we went to an author talk by the lovely Gail Carriger at Waterstones in Nottingham. Gail Carriger is author of the Parasol Protectorate series, the first book in the series is called Soulless.

Gail Carriger! I am SO jealous!
So I feel like my favorite book is always changing because there are always wonderful books coming out all the time that I love, but I would have to say my all time favorite book would have to be Emeralds and Espionage by Lynn Gardner. This book is what really got me into reading when I was about 12 years old and I have read it many times.
I have too many absolute favorite books to name! The most recent awesome book that I've read is by Lori Foster: A Perfect Storm.

This will definitely date me but Gone With the Wind and To Kill a Mockingbird are my favorites.
I would have to say J.R. Ward's Black Dagger Brotherhood series. I can't think of any others that sparked me as much as these did.
I love the Love at Stake by Kerrelyn Sparks and BDB by Jr Ward.
Chaos Walking Trilogy by Patrick Ness

I have many favorite books, picking one isn't easy. However, I'm really enjoying the Mistborn series by Brandon Sanderson, and have added them to my favorites list.
That is one hard question! Damn. I have lots of favorite books. So many great books! But I highly recommend Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver. It's just so great. :)

Thanks a lot for the giveaway!
The Book Thief by Markus Zusak is absolutely great!
That's just crazy, one book! :-)
Not my favourite of all time, but a serious classic that everyone should most definitely read at least once in their life is Mary Shelley's Frankenstein. The narrative and characterisation is just mind blowing. Such a wonderful gothic piece of fiction. I've never quite found imagery, so original, so fresh and vivid in any book.
There are plenty of books I would recommend!
I think that everyone know about The Hunger Games or The Mortal Instruments so other books that I really liked were "The Picture of Dorian Gray" by Oscar Wilde and "Bag of Bones" by Stephen King! (:
Thank you for the giveaway!

The Book I Would Recommend Is Guilty Pleasures By Laurell K Hamilton its the first in her Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter Series I Would Recommend You Read All Of The Books In The Series But Start With That One First.
The Princess Bride by William Goldman. It's funnier than the film and my all time favourite book. I've 'pushed' it onto my mum, my brothers, my sisters, my friends - even a total stranger once. I was on the train and he saw I was reading it. I think he was just being polite but I launched into a huge diatribe about how great it was and by the end of it he just looked scared... whoops?!
My all time favourite is His Dark Materials by Philip Pullman, more actually the third book, the Amber Spyglass. It's... amazing, imaginative, touching, and deep.
Thanks for the international giveway!
Beastly by Alex Flinn. Actually, any of her retellings are amazing :)
Apparently I'm none too good at this blog post comment thing, as this is the fourth time I've tried!! But hey, it's helping me to pare down the wordiness each time ;) Since so many others have mentioned rather current books, I figured I would go back to my true loves, the classics. I cannot choose just ONE, so here's a little sampling of FOUR that I absolutely love and would highly recommend! (in no particular order)
"Wuthering Heights" by Emily Bronte
"Jane Eyre" by Charlotte Bronte
"Frankenstein" by Mary Shelley
"To Kill a Mockingbird" by Harper Lee
(You sense a theme?? Yes, I do love the Gothic setting/sensibility, and tend to prefer female writers!)
There is one particular brand-new book that absolutely blew me away when I just read it, and it has definitely been added to my list of favorites (to which I haven't added anything in quite some time...after you have a baby (ok it was four years ago) you just don't have the time/energy/concentration to read like you used to!!). "Defending Jacob," by William Landay, is absolutely incredible, un-freakin-believable, a legal thriller, yes, but oh, so much more than that. I could go on and on, BUT, suffice it to say - if you haven't read it yet, you should!!
Thanks again for the giveaway, and I love the pics from the party you went to! :)
It's especially hard to pick an all time favorite but the book Croak kept me laughing the whole time reading it..I loved it! So I would recommend that book to you. :D Thanks for the giveaway!
I love all books from Julie James. I can truly recommend all of them.
(Ana)
Oh man, that's a hard question. I enjoy fantasy books, and horror/gothic books to. So I have to say, if you are into that sort of thing, I would recommend:
"The Last Unicorn"
Books by Diana Wynne Jones
*Some* books by Stephen King
"Frankenstein"
"Dracula"
Absolute favorite in YA category for me is Chaos Walking trilogy by Patrick Ness. Ok, I cheated a bit since these are 3 books. ;)
Thanks for the giveaway!
I would firstly like to thank you for an apsolutely increadible book giveaway, that is of much interest & a genre that i love. My 'favourite' book for me would have to be the classic JRR Tolkien's 'lord of the rings' as it was this mindblowing creation that not only ignited my passion for literature & reading at a young age, but also sparked my creativity and imagination.

There is no way I can tell you my favorite. My favoriteS list would be a mile long. I can give you one of my favorites, though. Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor! What an amzing book that was. Also, if you like the master Stephen King, the Gunslinger series is amazing. Thanks for the giveaway!
