Wishlist Wednesday #18

Every Wednesday, Dani at Pen To Paper features Wishlist Wednesday, a meme in which you can list a book that you really want to read or keep meaning to get. These are books that you want to add to your wishlist, and believe me there are plenty!  I've decided to use Dani's feature every Wednesday :)

So what do you need to do to join in?
  • Follow Pen to Paper as host of the meme.
  • Pick a book from your wishlist that you are dying to get to put on your shelves.
  • Do a post telling your readers about the book and why it's on your wishlist.
  • Add your blog to the linky at the bottom of her post.
  • Put a link back to pen to paper (http://vogue-pentopaper.blogspot.com) somewhere in your post.
  • Visit the other blogs and enjoy!

So here is my book for this weeks Wishlist Wednesday:

Goodreads Synopsis:

Awakening in a bleak landscape as scarred as her body, Cass Dollar vaguely recalls surviving something terrible. Having no idea how many weeks have passed, she slowly realizes the horrifying truth: Ruthie has vanished.
And with her, nearly all of civilization.
Where once-lush hills carried cars and commerce, the roads today see only cannibalistic Beaters—people turned hungry for human flesh by a government experiment gone wrong.
In a broken, barren California, Cass will undergo a harrowing quest to get Ruthie back. Few people trust an outsider, let alone a woman who became a zombie and somehow turned back, but she finds help from an enigmatic outlaw, Smoke. Smoke is her savior, and her safety.
For the Beaters are out there.
And the humans grip at survival with their trigger fingers. Especially when they learn that she and Ruthie have become the most feared, and desired, of weapons in a brave new world….

This book has suddenly been zapped on my radar because I received book three in this series (Horizon) as a review book from Netgalley. Of course I would love to read the rest of the series so I can get a true feeling for this review book.  I think it sounds a great series and I'm really into the whole post-apocalypse zombie thing now. Thank you to The Forest of Hands and Teeth and Dearly Departed for whetting my appetite for these books.  I would love to get hold of a copy of this, maybe my book shopping trip tomorrow with Dani @ Pen to Paper and another good friend will prove fruitful.  I will keep you posted!!!

Zombie books haven't made my list yet either, but I do find them interesting! I've always wondered if I could get into one!

Let me know if you enjoy this one and I just might give it a try! :)
Thanks for sharing!

I'm reading this one right now and I'm really enjoying it! I'm about 150 pages in so far. The world building and the new take on zombies is really unique!

It sounds really awesome. I like watching post-apocalyptic films so I should enjoy this. Plus, I need to read more zombie books so I'm adding this one to my wishlist.
